As summer seems to be back in town for the weekend i spent a few our on my home-water floattube fishing for perch. As fall is aproaching they get larger in numbers and size though the real lunkers still seem to be hiding in some secret parallel universe. Got 2 nice 30s and stinky baby pike on Comic Craws on the t-rig which has really become my favourite rig for fishing those tiny bastards, Venus or Chronos.

When we designed our Venus Lures about 2 years ago we were looking for a very special lure to be rigged dropshot for some serious Perch fishing action. Since i`m not really into this lame dropshot thing the whole lot of my Venus lures spent a rather boring life in my tacklebox being fished just once in a while. But in one of my many lunatic moments i had the idea to try those little cuties on a texas-rig. Curious guy i am i packed up some Lures, a size 2 hook and some bullet weights and headed for banks. What can i say … i must have been blind!!! Venus are just perfect on the t-rig when fishing for Perch!

No chub today but some perch at least to prove that this site really is about fishing. Spend the day out on the boat playing around with some new Comic Craw colours on the T-rig which proved pretty well. Spent a day down at the river Lahn and spotted some really nice chub there. This ist just one of many 60 cm + lurking around in the sun. Bloody idiot i am i forgot my flyrod.
